Saw the news and press release of SONY Funimation group completing their purchase of crunchyroll for $1Bn. You can read Wired Article on this.
I think it might be a good move for SONY and Integrate it more with their Playsation Plus Brand.
I would like to see another streaming service compete with NETFLIX. As of now crunchyroll is semi-blocked where I live. Same as Funimation. I hope these services come to PlaySation.
I also hope there will be a more revamped crunchyroll originals for creators after a disaster reported over the shows. I am not sure how indie anime creators can get shows on these platforms but it can be something to aim for eventually.
